Hello players of Syncro. Not quite the monthly post but I have a bit of long overdue news that couldn't wait until next month. Many of you may have noticed ryancoboss has not been on since August 2018 and it's about time I explained why. The short answer is he has resigned and there's a couple of reasons for this.
Firstly, Ryan feels most of you have grown up now and don't need him around as much. Syncro gave you want you wanted and needed and now many of you have moved on. He had the pleasure of meeting and experiencing new things with you all but he feels it's time for him to also move on.
Secondly, things have come full circle now. Everyone had a reason for staying on Syncro. He joined during a hard time in his life to learn how to believe in himself again. Anyone who was part of Syncro for a while will have left with something new. Whether it's friendships, life lessons or both, everyone's grown in their own ways.
As pessimistic as it seems, let's try to also remember the good times. One of my earliest memories of Ryan was him creating village destroying flying machines. There was also his many nicknames including The Governor and Circle Man. Perhaps he'll be remembered by more as a founder of Green-Wood. One of his greatest achievements was the creation of Green-Wood in March 2015. Its first government included his friends such as Blue_Tie, Allgeria, stanzred, Tirmite, and BessieBryher. After V2, Ryan became a good mod, effectively dealing with hackers and rule breakers. It was not long after this he became the Network Director and began a mission to make Syncro great. Later that year Syncro Fantasy was launched followed by Syncro Games. For a time, Syncro was a success hitting a record of 45 players in August 2016.
V4 started to dial things back but brought a new Green-Wood government that included InsaneFrog223, ForeverSarah, WorldClassMoo, Kawaii_Sky, Graciebee, DrThoaster and Maexxy. In early 2017, Syncro became fairly calm until later that year when things started to hype back up again. By 2018, the player count had started to decrease and Ryan began to realise more and more that his time had come but wanted to wait until most people had moved on before moving on himself. As a final gift, V5 was created and after months of work, was released in July.
Ryan had a great time on Syncro and will miss you all deeply. He'd like to stay but knows deep down moving on is what's best for everyone. He hopes those who remain will enjoy themselves and those who moved on will remember the good times. Some of you will probably be wondering why Ryan hasn't said goodbye himself but if you think back, you'll find he already has in some shape or form.
